Here's how you delete messages that have been sent in WhatsApp:
- Go to WhatsApp and go to the chats containing the messages you want to delete.
- Tap and hold message. Optionally, tap and hold more messages to delete multiple messages at once.
- Tap Delete at the top of the screen> Delete for everyone.
But someone caught it, WhatsApp noted that in order for this to work, the sender and recipient must use the latest version of WhatsApp for Android, iPhone or Windows Phone.
The service provider also notes that the sender can only delete messages for everyone within seven minutes of submission. After seven minutes, there's no way to delete the "for everyone" message.
This feature will certainly be welcomed by many users WhatsApp considering the increasing number of feature requests in order to delete sent messages.
